Principal’s Note

We appreciate our scholars and parents for helping to get this year off to a great start!  We have a wonderful faculty that is dedicated to working with your child.  It is our goal to provide the best education possible.  For this to happen, you must have a strong relationship with your child’s teacher.  A positive connection between home and school is always key to a successful year!

Attendance is crucial for learning.  Instruction, whether it is virtual or face-to-face is critical to every child’s success.  South Carolina State Law requires a student under the age of seventeen to attend school regularly. When a student has three consecutive or five nonconsecutive unexcused absences, the state has determined that the child is truant.  The law requires the school to schedule a conference with the parent to develop an Attendance Intervention Plan.

In addition, tardiness prevents a student from beginning the day on a good note.  Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students who come to school late miss valuable learning.  Remember, you may drop your child off at school as early as 7:15 a.m. If you have questions about attendance, please feel free to contact me or Kristie Gault.

Check out the wonderful article about Summit Classical School on the Go Laurens! Website.  We are thrilled over our scholars’ success!  Our theme is “Exploring New Heights” and we are planning to achieve even more this year!
