Works under the direct supervision of the school principal
Assist principal in carrying out daily duties. Duties include but are not limited to greeting and assisting visitors, staff, students, parents, etc. Maintain organized and efficient work area. Assist and manage ordering, shipping, and receiving of supplies and mailings. Answer phone calls, faxes, and emails in a friendly, efficient, and timely manner. Take accurate messages and relay them to the proper recipient in a timely manner. Distribute mail to principal and other staff as needed. Create letters and other handouts as needed. Maintain accurate financial and office records. Write receipts as needed for money collected. Ensure attendance is accurately recorded in PowerSchool. Update PowerSchool records as needed for excuses, tardies, and early dismissals. Monitor attendance in regards to Chronic Absenteeism and Truancy. Prepare parent notification for attendance. Schedule attendance conferences when needed according to policy. Follow through with truancy reporting to the court system when applicable. Monitor visitors and check identification. Issue visitor passes following approval. Assist students and teachers as needed. On rare occasions, may be asked to substitute in a classroom.

This is a contracted position and pays $10/hour for 165 hours/month (approximately 40 hours/week)
Certificate or Associate Degree in a related field preferred but not required
