It takes a village to raise a child!
The county and surrounding areas are in need of this free choice for schools. We plan to open in fall of 2019 with kindergarten through second grade. The support we have seen has been amazing, but our building situation needs help. We plan to use the old Florida Street Elementary School building, but it needs extensive remodeling to get up to code. We want so badly to make this school a possibility for the children and families that need it. Please help us get the building ready for learning.
We have begun remodeling and have already replaced 75% of the broken windows as well as cleaned, painted, and fixed up much of the first floor. There is so much more to do and we need your help. The building needs a fire sprinkler system installed, refinishing of the hardwood floors, paint scraped, painting, more windows installed, air conditioning units in some classrooms, wheelchair access brought up to date, etc. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will ultimately help the children of this area receive a quality education.
Will you consider joining us to make this vision a reality?
